The old testament say there is only 1 god. Why christian believe in 3 god, and that god have son?
Response
First of all, Christians do NOT believe in 3 gods, Christianity is one of the 3 great monotheistic faiths – like Jews and Muslims, Christian believe only in one God. The confusion arises when Christians speak of the trinity – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This idea or “doctrine” is somewhat hard to grasp. In simplest terms, Christians believe in one God who is expressed in three personalities but remains only one God. It I were to ask the question in a science test “What is H2O?” The answer that most would give, would be “water”. However, it would also be correct if the said that the answer was ice or steam. Water, steam and ice are all one and the same in substance (H2O), but different in the way they appear and act. In very basic terms, this is the way that Christians understand God. One God, but in 3 distinct forms.
