Do christian not like muslim? If christian have easter in australia for christian, why not eid alfitr and eid aladha for muslim brother?
Response
The Christian is told to love all people, regardless of their race, colour or religious belief. So Christians should not hate or reject a person simply because they are Muslim. Why do we celebrate Easter in Australia? Australia has been built on a Christian foundation and is still. Nominally, a Christian nation; thus the main Christian periods relating to the birth (Christmas), death and resurrection (Easter) of Christ are still regarded as special days. It’s simply a part of the Nation’s cultural history. Why do we not also have holidays for Muslim special days? It’s to do with cultural history – I am not aware of any Muslim countries that have public holidays for Christian days like Christmas and Easter, in fact it’s not even legal in some Muslim countries to openly practice Christianity. Whilst we give freedom to all to practice their religion.
In this Nation, the two holiday periods reflect the nation’s Christian heritage, not any objection to other religions being practiced in our nation.
