The Presence of The Holy Spirit

why is it that only sometimes we feel the sudden presence of the Holy Spirit and not always? is that actually a bad thing? Shouldn’t He be present in our hearts always?

It is good not to rely on feelings alone. The reality is that The Holy Spirit is with us always, but sometimes we lose sight of that reality and possibly even take it for granted. But then there are times that we are acutely aware of His presence with us. Sometimes that awareness is stimulated by corporate worship, sometimes it may come as we find ourselves faced with a difficult circumstance and we sense His strength. It’s good to experience those special times, but it’s also wise to remember that He is with us, regardless of the circumstance and regardless of how we may feel.
