Well done on your predictions dr dave! Looks like the real winner in this election was you! How can Australians after brexit, vote for 3 more years of chaos and minority government? This is exactly what you were warning about dave, it's almost like you had a crystal ball - well done!

It is very disappointing to see what has happened. It seems as though the Australian people in general were so disillusioned by the major parties, that they were willing to turn to anything else on offer, in the hope that it wouldn’t be worse than that which we already had. But it will be worse – much worse. It’s hard to trust parties that have overnight coups that displace leaders, that give assurances to people but fail to keep their word – and what we now have is the result of all of that. I also think that the church in our nation has been far too quiet and uninvolved in the system. Sure there are Christian parties that have risen up, but what is the result of all of that? At this stage, nothing – perhaps the possibility of one Senate spot in NSW. Why do we have a plethora of “Christian” parties? The first thing that it tells me is that Christians are so disunited and self centred that they can’t even agree on enough to form a single voice, one party that represents all Christians across the nation. We have need a far more united voice is we are to have any hope at all of resisting changes to the Marriage Act that will allow same sex marriage. But for now, we just roll on in uncertainty – it’s likely that we won’t have an absolute result for at least a couple of weeks and then we’ll have a minority government with the probability of another election in 18 months. This is the “Southland of The Holy Spirit” – but at the moment, it certainly isn’t “Great”.
