Question/Comment
Dave, hope you don't find this question too invasive, but do you ever experience feelings of paranoia? How do you know whether your paranoia is genuine or not? Is this a curse of people who are bright?
Response
It is suggested by psychologists that people with a high level of intelligence (IQ above 130), tend to suffer varying degrees of paranoia to a far more than the regular community. Worry and anxiety are also said to be found more in the highly intelligent than the general community. Those with a very high level of intelligence (IQ 150+) tend to demonstrate significant levels of paranoia and often have difficulty in relating to the general population. The highly intelligent are more likely to prefer isolation from the general populace and tend to be rather clumsy in interpersonal relationships.
Probably the greatest problem with high intelligence is that regardless of what you may say, those who agree with you are probably insane and those who do not agree with you are probably in parliament!
